Expedition 8 Days – Cayambe, Cotopaxi & Chimborazo

Perfect for beginners & families. Gentle walks of 1–3 hours on well-marked paths with minimal elevation gain. No prior hiking experience required — ideal for acclimatization days or relaxing cultural and nature excursions (Quito City, Mindo, Papallacta, Pesca, Cuyabeno).

For active travelers in good shape. Expect 4–6 hours of hiking with 500–800 m of elevation gain at altitudes of 3,800–4,500 m. You should be able to walk comfortably for half a day on uneven terrain. Good cardiovascular fitness and recent hiking experience recommended.

For experienced hikers. Demanding days of 6–8 hours with 800–1,200 m of elevation gain at altitudes of 4,500–5,000 m. Previous multi-day trekking or high-altitude hiking experience strongly recommended. Excellent physical condition and mental resilience required.

Your first glacier summit. No prior mountaineering skills required — we'll teach you everything from crampon technique to rope travel and self-arrest. Summit nights of 6–9 hours of climbing up to 5,900 m. Good cardio condition is a must; previous trekking experience highly recommended. Ideal for Cotopaxi, Cayambe, Iliniza Norte, Imbabura and Glacier School.

For climbers with solid mountain experience. Technical climbs involving glacier travel, crevasse navigation, rope management and confident use of crampons and ice axes. Summit days of 8–12 hours above 5,000 m. Excellent physical condition and previous high-altitude climbing (e.g., Cotopaxi or similar) required. Iliniza Sur, Antisana.

Ecuador's highest peaks. Strenuous routes such as Chimborazo (6,268 m) combining steep ice, altitude stress, and long summit pushes of 10–14 hours. Advanced mountaineering skills, previous 5,000+ m summits, and top physical conditioning are essential.
