We departure from our office at 8 a.m. in private transportation. Then, we arrive in El Tambo at 3400 m / 11,155 ft in around two hours. Next, we have a 3-4 hours hike to the first camp called Laguna del Volcán at 3900 m / 12,795 ft. We have dinner and rest.

DAY 1
DAY 2
We wake up and have breakfast at 8 a.m. We have a 6-7 hour hike to the second camp known as “Laguna Santa Lucia” at 4200 m / 13,779 ft. In our way we see various plants, flowers, animals, birds, and cross by the base of Antisana at 4350 m / 14,271 ft which is the highest point we reach. Then, we set up our camp, prepare our dinner, and rest.
DAY 3
Breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. Rest at Santa Lucía camp 4200 m / 13,779 ft.
OPTION 1
2 hours hike to the Antisana Glacier at 4500 m / 14,764 ft
OPTION 2
3-hour hike to the Plaza de Armas mountain. If the weather is good, we can observe Andean parrots, white-tailed deers, Andean bears, tapirs, condors, and various endemic birds.
DAY 4
We have breakfast at 8 a.m. Then, a 6–7-hour hike to the fourth camp called Chirihusi at 4000 m / 13123 ft. We go through the Pullurima valley, where we see white-tailed deers, various birds and condors.
We hike across the base of Sincholagua volcano to the camp. We have dinner and rest.
DAY 5
We have breakfast at 8 a.m. and move to the Cotopaxi National Park at 3800 m / 12467 ft. We hike 3-4 hours around Pita river that is near to the National Park entrance.
Our transport will be ready and we arrive at Quito at 4-5 p.m. End of the 5-day tour.
