We start our trip from Quito at 7 a.m. to go along the Panamericana highway, surrounded by marvelous Andean landscapes. We travel for around 3 hours and a half. Before getting to Quilotoa, we visit Sanquisilí town (if it is Thursday) where we find arts and crafts from the local indigenous communities. Then, we go through the Zumbahua indigenous community and finally we get to our main objective: Quilotoa. We stop for eating our box lunch, and then we walk around one hour until we go down to the crater with an astonishing view of the lake. At this moment we can take the best pictures of the place.
