DAY 1
QUITO – LAGO AGRIO – CUYABENO
- Flight (09:15 a.m.) or bus (8 hours-trip one night before the tour) to Lago Agrio.
- Private transportation from Lago Agrio to El Puente.
- Travel by canoe in the Cuyabeno river to our huts.
- Lunch.
- Visit the Laguna Grande to swim and admire the sunset.
- Dinner.
- Night walk.
DAY 2
HIKE
- Early Breakfast.
- Three hours hike in the primary forest to learn about flora and fauna, especially to know about plants and animals such as frogs, insects, birds, etc.
- Break. In the afternoon, we go by traditional canoe to the lagoons and rivers to explore and enjoy nature.
- Here we can swim and enjoy the sunset. If there are proper conditions, we can observe pink dolphins.
- Return to huts.
- Dinner.
DAY 3
COMMUNITY DAY
- Breakfast.
- Visit the Siona Tarapuy Community where we can observe the preparation of traditional Casabe bread. The naturalist guide describes the culture and traditions of the natives.
- Lunch
- Visit the Shaman who explains about ceremonies in the jungle.
- Return to the huts.
- Dinner.
- Nocturnal expedition by canoe in search of caimans.
DAY 4
CANOE
- Breakfast
- Exciting morning navigating by traditional canoe. We explore and enjoy the jungle in search of monkeys and birds.
- Lunch at huts
- Visit the Laguna Grande to swim and admire the sunset.
- Dinner
DAY 5
CUYABENO – LAGO AGRIO – QUITO
- Birdwatching early in the morning.
- Breakfast
- Cuyabeno river navigation to El Puente. Box lunch.
- Transfer to Lago Agrio.
- Return to Quito by bus or plane (5 p.m.)
